Glossary Anomaly Detection

Definition

Anomaly detection is a capability of modern IT infrastructure monitoring that is driven by AIOps. It works by comparing current data to historical trends, sending an alert when unusual activity is detected.
The Anomaly Detection feature may for example leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) to automatically learn patterns from monitored indicators, and to alert when indicators experience abnormal behaviors, outside the range of typical patterns.
