Alert fatigue, also known as alarm fatigue, applied to IT infrastructure monitoring refers to the phenomenon of being desensitized to alerts due to the sheer number of them. Risks associated with alert fatigue range from missing on diagnosing important issues through disengagement of people tasked with ensuring the performance and security of systems and networks.
