Centreon Looks to Increase its Investment in the Channel in the UK by around 300% over the next 12 Months

Newsroom Centreon Looks to Increase its Investment in the Channel in the UK by around 300% over the next 12 Months

UK CM is focused on helping the channel understand the revenue-driving opportunities available through open monitoring solutions. Fresh from attending the AWS Summit in London, Juan Lyall, Centreon’s UK CM, was feeling bullish about the company’s presence in the UK, which is growing rapidly following its inception in 2021.

Paris – May 24, 2022 – Centreon is a channel-first provider of open IT monitoring solutions, and Lyall and his team are solely focused on increasing their channel investment in the UK by over 300% during the next 12 months. He says the feedback he received at Channel Live in March, was an illuminating experience. “To be honest, we were quite surprised to hear the feedback from the partners we spoke to. Not many seemed to realise the benefits of open monitoring solutions as a revenue generator – they saw it as a necessary tick box for their customers. This is the message we are now carrying to our prospects – lowering the costs of access to modern IT monitoring means the opportunities are there for the taking.

Chris Walsh at ABC Distribution agrees. There is no doubt that the flexibility of the Centreon offering makes an impact on sales opportunities. Each of our clients’ specific requirements are slightly different but Centreon as a platform is flexible enough to be tailored to suit them all. As a company, we pride ourselves on not having a 1 size fits all approach and Centreon allows us to do this very successfully. It’s important to understand one another – Centreon has listened to what we had to say, and ultimately, our clients. This is very important, as ultimately they are the people who need to know that their needs have been met.”

Said Lyall, “We are a channel-first company with a growth rate of over 30% per year, thanks to our unique multi-platform deployment capability, and we want to get that message out to the UK channel. With this in mind, the opportunity to attend live events and speak to partners once more has been very welcome as there is no doubt that human interaction is the way to build strong relationships. The pandemic has pushed most people to lean towards zoom meetings, phone calls and emails, if they weren’t going that way before, but we mustn’t lose our way and stop meeting face to face. Remote meetings have their place in fast tracking relationships, but being able to look someone in the eye is invaluable if you want a successful ongoing partnership with them.”

Centreon recently invested in silver sponsorship of AWS Summit in Paris, London, Milan, Toronto and New York City this year, after joining the APN Partner program in March. Lyall feels the money has been well spent.

The AWS Summit in London was a real experience. As a relatively recent AWS partner, our story is strong but new. I didn’t have any particular expectations, but when the doors opened at 8am, hundreds of genuinely interested people poured in and it was still ongoing at 6pm. The quality of the attendees was excellent – and we were quite pleased to find that many of those were interested in On Prem as they were about Cloud solutions. People wanted to find the right solution to match their needs and weren’t solely fixated on a single way of doing it. We had some great conversations.

With this in mind, Lyall would welcome the opportunity to talk to more partners in the UK to discuss the challenges of deploying state-of-art cloud technologies, while still maintaining legacy infrastructure and how Centreon can help them. “Deploying the same platform On-Premise, in the Cloud, or both, is currently unique on the monitoring market. We are there to work with them, offering them a Silver Service if you like, in order to help them realise the revenue opportunities and answer any queries their customers have.

Europe’s leading customer service outsourcing partner, Ascensos, sees its Centreon solution as the perfect balance between innovation and stability. Explained John Wotherspoon, its IT Systems Architect, “As a state-of-the-art and fast-growing outsourced call centre operation, we constantly add new IT services. I now save up to 50% of the time I used to spend on configuration by leveraging Centreon’s Plugin Packs. Our ability to serve our clients’ customers depends on flawless configuration and this is the primary advantage Centreon brings us.
