Glossary Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM)

Definition

Remote monitoring and management (RMM) is the process by which it is possible to manage a computer or a network remotely through locally installed software agents. These remote agents help install new or updated software, check for threats, and provide analytics for reporting. MSPs, for example, use such probes to ensure their clients’ network infrastructure works efficiently.
