Enterprise Monitoring System (EMS) refers to a set of IT infrastructure monitoring tools that capture the availability of the IT infrastructure components that are either residing in a data center or are hosted in the cloud. These tools monitor and collate the availability and resource utilization metrics of servers, networks, database instances, hypervisors and storage. Through these tools, metrics are collected in real time which provides constant visibility into the IT operations that support essential business processes.
