Centreon 2, the result from one year of work

We not only worked a lot on the solution, we also decided to present a brand new web site and a new logo to you :-)

We have become one year ago, one of the reference in the domain of Open Source monitoring.

It is only natural to spread and democratize the use of your software :

• Various and interesting professional services
• A strong community

Born from a 6 year old project, we are still respecting and we remain faithful to the open source world, and we hope that everybody gets satisfied with the new installation strategy, whether you are a customer or a contributor.

As always, we are paying attention to all your suggestions and feedback.
Make sure to share your thoughts with us regarding the future of Centreon and its impact on your daily IT monitoring.

This release could not have been made without the active help of all the contributors and we are truly thankful for that. Your patience and participation during the last few months of BETA and RC testing have made Centreon 2 the most complete version we have ever released.

Because it is very complete technically speaking, we will soon publish architecture schemes in which Centreon 2 will be explained in details. We would be very pleased to receive feedback from you.
We also wish to identify work groups from our community, thus allowing each of you to contribute and participate in the improvement of Centreon with your own ways. Modules, documentation, translations, publications... there are so many ways in which you can help.

Regarding the modules, we received many requests from you to host your projects. If you wish to have your own "forge" within our project, make sure to let us know.

At last, the year 2009 will be very promising, seeing what is on the roadmap for the next version. About that, part of the roadmap has already been well developed... ;-)
