Centreon Broker

Centreon Broker offers a new effective way to store your Nagios events in a database. With its flexible core engine, you may now decide exactly how your data stream over your network. These transfers are also extremly fast.
You will be able to set up an auxiliary database which will only monitor a part of your IT infrastructure.
By setting up fail-overs that will be activated when the primary Nagios database is down, you will be in a position to guarantee your Centreon users with no data loss.

Security

Centreon Broker relies on the standard TLS (Transport Layer Security) protocol that provides a strong encryption on all your Centreon data flows over your network. All sensible data are therefore protected from malecious person or third party programs. By using certificates, you will be able to authenticate all Centreon pollers sending monitoring information.

Performance

In order to assure you the best performance, Centreon Broker relies on an interesting DBMS feature which hasn’t been widely used until now, called the prepared statements.
Prepared statements allow two main kind of optimization. First when similar queries are executed multiple times, the analysis of the database engine only occurs once. In fact, insertion requests in database are optimized and use less resources.
Second with prepared statements, data is sent using a binary protocol instead of a plain-text one, which reduce network usage and the size of data to process.
The Centreon Broker database schema has been optimized to its maximum by our R&D teams with the assistance of a MySQL Consultants team.
